As a young boy growing up in Houston, Les used to gather up items from his mother’s donation pile, load them into his red wagon and set out to sell the stuff door to door to his neighbors. That was the beginning of his sales career.
After graduating from the University of Arkansas, he joined a family construction business where he served as a superintendent. He had a great eye for detail and how to manage multiple deadlines while keeping customers happy. Fast forward to 1991, he joined promotional products industry as an account executive at Lone Star Specialty Advertising in Fort Worth. It’s there he be became known to his clients as “Get More with Les.” He then joined Worldwide Specialty Advertising and grew his client list to include universities and small-to-midsize businesses in various industries.
Les’s strengths are not only selling promotional products but thinking developing ideas on how to creatively solve marketing opportunities for his clients. It’s not enough to play order taker. He gets to know his clients and their business needs. Whether it’s to help build or promote a brand or for recognition programs, he believes promotional products or more than just a logo on an item. It can serve as a motivator, a thank you, or reminder of the recipient’s value to that organization or business.
When Les isn’t working, he enjoys fly fishing for all species of fish. He served on the board of the Fort Worth Fly Fishers and was president of the club, helping grow membership to one of the largest in the nation.
